An ORICO M.2-to-USB enclosure can turn a compatible internal SSD into external storage for copying files, keeping backups or accessing a drive removed during an upgrade. The published listing mentions NVMe, UASP and a USB connection, but its option list also contains SATA versions.
SATA and NVMe are separate checks
Options include labels such as NVME SATA -10Gbps, 5Gbps Bkey SATA NGFF and 2 In 1. These labels describe different choices within the listing. Verify the supported protocol and drive length for the exact enclosure you select; the general NVMe wording must not be applied to a SATA-only option.
Compare the complete external drive
Confirm whether an SSD is included or whether you are buying only the enclosure, and check the cable and thermal accessories in the package. Actual transfer performance depends on the SSD, enclosure, cable and computer port together. An advertised interface rate is not a measured file-copy result.
Use our SATA and NVMe guide to check the drive type. An enclosure alone does not repair a damaged SSD. These notes use the seller’s published information; we have not tested this model.
