Before comparing deals, write down the connectors and video format you need: resolution and refresh rate together. Check that both the source output and the display input support that combination.
Check the cable category
The official HDMI cable guide distinguishes categories with different capabilities. Premium High Speed supports up to 18 Gbps; Ultra High Speed supports up to 48 Gbps and formats such as 4K at 120 Hz. Cable capability alone does not establish device compatibility.
Certification and length
Do not rely solely on an 8K label in a seller image. Look for the official cable name and verifiable certification for the model and length you choose. The Premium HDMI programme includes testing and authentication labels. A label for another variant is not evidence that your selected cable is certified.
Compare equivalent options
A listing can contain several lengths. Select the length you need before comparing its price, connectors and return terms. If your setup includes an adapter, dock or receiver, check their limits too.
